3. Images and Documents

Malath App may allow the user to upload images or documents related to the property or lease contract. These files are used only to provide the app's services, such as documenting the condition of the property or keeping records of contracts and payments. The user is responsible for ensuring they have the right to upload these images or documents and that they do not contain information belonging to other people without appropriate permission or legal basis.

4. Device Permissions

The app may request some permissions when necessary, including:

  • Camera: To photograph the property or documents.
  • Photos and Files: To upload or save documents and photos.
  • Notifications: To send alerts for payment dates or contract expiration and other alerts.
  • Geolocation: If services relying on property location are added, and after obtaining user permission.

No permission will be used except within the scope of the associated function.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent users' personal data. Some data may be shared in limited cases, such as:

  • With technical service providers necessary to operate the app, such as hosting services or sending messages and notifications.
  • Between the parties to the contract when the user chooses to share the contract or its data with the other party.
  • With governmental, judicial, or regulatory authorities if disclosure is required by law.
  • To protect the rights of the app or users, or to prevent fraud or misuse.

If electronic payment services are provided within the app, payments may be processed by authorized payment service providers. Malath App does not, as a rule, retain the user's full bank card details unless explicitly stated and the necessary security and regulatory standards are applied.

7. Data Protection

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, or unauthorized use and disclosure. However, the security of any electronic system or online communication cannot be guaranteed 100%.

8. Data Retention & Anonymization

We retain personal data as long as your account is active. When account deletion is requested, we strictly adhere to a secure anonymization and scrubbing protocol:

  • Immediate Scrubbing of Sensitive PII: Uploaded official identity documents, passports, national ID photos, and profile pictures are permanently purged from our servers. Mobile numbers, national IDs, physical addresses, and device push notification tokens are cleared.
  • Statutory Retention of Executed Bilateral Records: Pre-existing, legally executed lease agreements (digitally signed PDFs) and payment/tax receipt ledgers are preserved in the other contracting party's records as statutory legal and financial audit evidence, with your identity permanently masked as "Deleted User".
  • Email Freeing: Your registered email address is scrambled with a randomized ghost address, releasing your original email so you may re-register in the future if desired.

9. User Rights

In accordance with applicable laws, the user may have the right to:

  • Access their personal data.
  • Correct or update inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of the account and associated data.
  • Withdraw certain consents granted to the app.

The user who enters another person's data is responsible for ensuring the legality of collecting, entering, and using this data and obtaining the required consents in accordance with applicable laws.

11. Third-Party Services

The app may rely on services provided by third parties, such as cloud hosting services, SMS and OTP verification messages, notifications, maps, analytics services, and electronic payment gateways. These entities may process limited data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

12. Children's Privacy

Malath App is intended for persons legally capable of managing or entering into lease contracts in accordance with applicable laws, and does not target children or knowingly collect personal data from them without a legal basis or appropriate consent.

13. Data Transfer and Storage

Data may be hosted or processed on servers located inside or outside the country where the user resides, depending on the technical service providers used, while taking appropriate measures to protect the data in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

14. Account Deletion Policy & Conditions

Malath App provides an in-app account deletion mechanism under "Profile > Delete Account Permanently". Deletion requests are governed by the following criteria:

  • Active Leases Block Deletion: Accounts cannot be deleted while bound by an ongoing active lease contract. All active leases must be mutually terminated or completed, and outstanding payments settled first to protect both parties' rights.
  • Automatic Cancellation of Unsigned Offers: Any drafts or contracts pending signatures are automatically cancelled, notifying the counterparty and resetting property status to "Vacant".
  • Irreversibility: Once confirmed, the account is deactivated immediately, sessions invalidated, and personal identity files erased permanently.

15. Amendments to the Privacy Policy

We may update the Privacy Policy from time to time as a result of developing Malath App or adding new services, or to comply with legal requirements. The updated version will be published with the date of the last update indicated.
